The out-of-hours service is provided by IC24, contracted by the Primary Care Trust.
Dial the surgery telephone number and you will be automatically diverted to the call centre when
the surgery is closed.
You will be given an appointment time at the out-of-hours clinic, provided with a home visit or given
medical advice as appropriate.
This service is for emergencies only.
If you require medical advice, phone 111 and you will automatically be transferred to the free NHS 111 Service.
You may then be:
a) given advice over the phone
b) asked to attend a local Primary Care Centre
c) offered a home visit
As considered appropriate for you.
